White House: U.S. welcomes Russians seeking asylum

🇷🇺The United States welcomes Russians seeking asylum from President Vladimir Putin’s “unpopular” war, said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday this week.

☝”We believe that regardless of their nationality, Russian citizens may apply for asylum in the United States and have their claim educated on a case by case basis,” she said.

🚶Since Russian President Vladimir Putin’s military mobilization order, thousands of age-appropriate Russian men have made their way to the borders of Finland, Latvia and other EU nations to seek asylum and avoid the front lines in Ukraine. They are also travelling to Mexico to ask for Asylum at the US Borders.

🇺🇸The official position of the Biden Whitehouse is to welcome Russians fleeing Russia as Putin threatens US with nuclear weapons. However, each case will still be examined on an individual case-by-case basis.
