HEY THERE! I'M KATIA KRASAVINA. BEFORE PURSUING A LEGAL CAREER, I WAS A DEMOCRACY ACTIVIST AND WORKED IN THE FIELD OF INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS.

My interest in immigration law was inspired by working with people fleeing their countries due to political persecution and armed conflicts.

After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, I joined the Shepelsky Law Group, where primarily works with asylum-seekers, VAWA petitioners, and other people seeking a safe haven in the United States.

In my free time, I scout New York for the best jazz jams, enjoy social dancing, and try to rid my apartment of my cat’s hair.
