The green card lottery has started 
Let’s figure out how to fill out the application correctly 
Go to the website https://dvprogram.state.gov/. There are no other sites that accept applications. Other resources that try to lure you in are fraudulent.
On the site’s main page, there is a blue button DV-2024 Instructions, which opens a file with the conditions for submitting an application.
On the same page, there is a blue Photo Examples button, which will redirect you to a page with photo requirements and photo examples. Please note that the photo must have been taken within the last six months.
Click on the green Begins Entry button to complete the application.
The filling consists of two parts. Write information about yourself in the first part, and check the entered data in the second part.
Enter your last name and first name. You do not need to write a patronymic in the Middle Name column. But you need to check the box next to No Middle Name so that the site does not give an error later.
Next, indicate the gender and enter the date of birth.
Write the city of birth and select the country of your birth from the list. If you do not qualify by country of birth, then you can participate in the lottery if, for example, your spouse is from another country.
Upload your photo. Specify your postal address.
Choose the country where you currently live. Choose your level of education. To participate in the green card lottery, you can specify everything except Primary school only. Only those who have an education starting from secondary can participate.
Choose marital status. If you win the lottery, your spouse can also get a green card.
Click the Submit button. If everything is filled out correctly, the second part of the questionnaire opens. It contains the data that has just been filled in, which you need to check and click Submit again. If you want to fix something, you can go back.
After confirming all the data, a window opens with a message that you have successfully applied.
