Raheemat Aderibigbe, Esq.
Greetings! My name is Raheemat Aderibigbe. I am an immigration and family law attorney and part of the attorney team of Law Offices of Marina Shepelsky, P.C. (Shepelsky Law Group).
I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Africa. I am an immigrant and very proud to practice in the area of immigration law because I went through the process of adjustment of status myself.
I graduated from CUNY- John Jay College with a BA in Political Science and received my Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law in New York.
As an immigrant from Nigeria, I know that the immigration system can be very complex. My goal is to help people navigate through the complex US Immigration laws system and help them get the life-saving immigration benefits they deserve.
I began working in the immigration field long before graduating from law school, in the capacity of a paralegal. Prior to joining Shepelsky Law Group, I worked for several years as an immigration paralegal with a New-York based law firm doing extensive family and employment-based cases. While in law school, I also took part in an immigration clinic (a free legal representation organization), St John’s Bread and Life that collaborated with Catholic Migration Services to help low income families complete their immigration paperwork.
I am a mom of two adorable kids and I live in New York with my husband. I am part of a wonderful extended family and know both immigration and family law from the inside. I am a member of the New York State Bar Association.
When not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with her family.
